Flaky/Itchy Customer Reviews
I struggled for years to find any shampoo that didn’t irritate my scalp to the point it blistered and bled…my hairdresser introduced me to this shampoo about 8 years ago and I haven’t looked back since! I buy the litre size which lasts about 6months and along with the re-moisturising conditioner keeps my very thick and unruly hair in a tip top, super shiny, soothed state.

I have been suffering from a long term scalp condition and was prescribed Nizoral shampoo from my doctor. However, since trying this product my scamp condition has completely cleared up and feels simply fantastic. I can’t thank you enough for such an excellent product!! I would certainly recommend it.

What a fantastic product. I have a really sensitive scalp and if I use some other shampoos I end up with a dry or flaky scalp. I only have to use this a couple of times and it solves the problem. It’s fantastic, can’t praise it enough. Am going to order my 3rd litre bottle. Just can’t be without it. Since I’ve been using Philip Kinglsey products my hairdresser has commented on how good the condition of my hair is.

I have been using Philip Kingsley Flaky Itchy Scalp Shampoo for at least 10 years (back when the formula was a green apple color) after reading a review in Allure Magazine. There is no better remedy for a dry, itchy scalp than this mild shampoo. I use the shampoo every few days to keep my scalp in check and my hair is gorgeous and shiny.

Hi I’m desperately hunting for a solution for my 12yr old daughter and would love to know if you think Flaky/Itchy could help? She had a brain tumour aged 2.5 and then leukaemia aged 5 and had mammoth does of chemo and radio. As a result she lost nearly all her hair permanently. She has recently started wearing a hair system (basically a human hair wig held on 24/7 for a month at a time with strong tape) At the end of the month it is removed, groomed and replaced. Cosmetically, the result is pretty good but her scalp gets horribly itchy – really maddeningly, furiously itchy- from about halfway through the month. I suspect that over time, there must be a build up of shampoo, conditioner and microbes. We have to use very rich protein shampoo/conditioner/conditioning sprays or it starts to look like straw. The itching is not where the tape is (so allergy unlikely). I’m hesitating to just go ahead and order even a small bottle because every time I buy something that isn’t right, I’m just building up her hopes and then letting her down. And her scalp isn’t flaky so is this actually the right product? Can it be sprayed onto dry hair around the scalp/(wig cap) or only used after washing? (Washing every day just isn’t an option as it could loosen the tape – plus it seems to trigger the worst itching attacks of all) I realise this is a pretty unique situation but I’d appreciate any recommendations you have on this. Thank you.
